yep. i was 7. thought it was a cranberry. turned out to be a pickled beet. my parents almost dropped over they laughed so hard. at least the waiter felt sorry for me.

Me too. I was at a pancake restaurant, maybe seven also, and they served scoops of butter in silver, footed dessert dishes. I thought it was French vanilla ice cream! What a disaapointment.
