Good friends , Watching the sunset and sometimes watching it raise, The soft rain hitting the roof top and sitting outside in the morning and listening to nature while eating breakfast while my puppy is at play near my feet.

A really good week at work and significant progress on the project
A long, holiday weekend with my family and our friends, including celebrating Grandma's 92nd birthday Coleus ... they runneth over and look so beautiful on the porch Not gettng a speeding ticket (or even a written warning) Phone buzzing with texts from my 12 year-old nephew saying really silly things like, "would you visit me on Neptune?" Quality, authentic people who say what they mean and mean what they say and who care about others. Life's treasures. Thank you for being in my life, if you are reading this and know, because it's true, that you are one of these fine folks. :-) |

*The last 20 minutes before I finish work, because it's spent telling everyone good bye and see ya tomorrow, lol. *Walking in the door when I get home to be bombarded with puppy kisses, dog dances, and ferret dookings noises. *My girl usually dressed in her gym clothes giving me a peck on the cheek when I finally get into the door as she is leaving to go to the gym. *The hot shower, so I can get my scrubs off and jump into the shower and put my favorite comfy clothes, boxer and tee shirt. *And waking up, that's the best! It means I live to enjoy another day... |

Five Things I Miss
Thunderstorms, yes. I've missed them. They don't happen up here. I've only seen lightning 3 times in more than 4 years here and heard thunder one less than that.
 Warm rain. It only rains cold, stinging rain here, even in summer. Yeast rolls from Quincy's (out of business, I think) and Golden Corral. True Southern cooking. Having friends in close vicinity....which leads to cooking and possibly yeast rolls and, if we wait long enough, rain and storms.
