Questions/Issues/Wishlists for BFP

Not sure if this question has come up yet and as there are way too many pages for my ADD to go back through, I'll toss it out here.
I want to change my nic. Do I A) create a new one and just "forget" the old one or B) do something else? Be clear, I do not want dual nicks, just a new one that more clearly represents the me I am today.
Thanks. I'll subscribe to this so I can try to keep up or techy folks in charge of all things techy can just pm me for the appropriate course I should take.
