Once upon a time, a woman found out something about herself. That finding resulted in this poem. It's been nine years...almost ten now and I can still recall this moment vividly from my emotional memories. This popped into my head while I was reading this thread and I wanted to share it because..I AM.

I am the headwaters. I am the Delta waters. I am all that is Water in between. I am the cave. I am the mountain. I am all that is Earth in between. I am the tornado. I am the butterfly's wing beat. I am submissive
I am granite strong I am velvet soft I am intelligent I am funny I am femme and in being femme I can be anything that is right for me. Sometimes that means that I crawl across the floor on hands and knees adorned in stockings and not much else. Other times that means I strike fear in those that mistake me for someone less than intelligent or somehow weak. But whatever it looks like it is mine to own and NO ONE has the right to decide if it is right or wrong.
