What's Happening in Austin

Yep, for the neck they go through the front,,I have the scar to prove it! I hope her recovery goes well and am glad to hear that it was only one instead of four! They gave me cadaver bone too; I just made them promise me that they wouldn't give me an ax-murderer's bone such that I would wake up with the feeling of wanting to kill someone! lol. The first four weeks are the worst but I do hope her surgery provides her with what I am sure is much-needed relief now and going forward!

Oh HELL yeah.....I'll be damned if that Trudene didn't call me at dinner! She will probably not remember that.

She HAD to have had a cohort <glaring at TxsChrmr!> to get that phone as I KNOW it was in her bag and not hanging around her neck on a string......

Scratchy, raspy voice....so yeah....probably not a good idea to call just yet.

I'm gonna go up tomorrow for The Morphine Show....hee hee

Waldo, it was SO good seeing You this evening! And Maggie, Pixie and Kellen, Y'all too! Very nice welcome for Waldo to Austin and some good sushi, too....(though not all were fans....there are crazies everywhere, I guess....<smiling> )

I love this sushi place! They have a Happy Hour with "cheap sushi" from 5-6:30 (or maybe 4:30-6:30....can't remember) Mondays ~ Thursdays.

And yes...I would recommend it.

Believe it or not, I do remember calling you, now I may not remember all the conversation but I do remember calling you.

I am home now.
Spoke with Dr this morning and he did 1 cadaver replacement and aligned the others the placed a titanium plate and screws.
Needless to say I am very uncomfortable

Janey, I can't thank you enough for being there for me. You are amazing and brave and I say "brave" because you carried chicken strips into an O.R. waiting room with people who had not eaten since the day before and a nursing staff that I'm pretty sure was taking bets on who was snatch your bag when you weren't looking.

You love living on the edge, don't you.

In other news...........Ms. Tabitha has been discharged from the hospital and is probably home by now. That, in itself, will wear a person right out! She left me a message this afternoon and her voice sounds really strong....

Just got off the phone with Ms. Tabitha....she never ceases to amaze me! Sounded tired, but other than that, she's doing pretty well....she's not going to have to be on a total liquid diet for 4 weeks...he told her when she felt comfortable, she could eat something solid....I'm sure she'll go with baby steps first and not jump into a steak just yet!
