I'm glad this thread got bumped. I was thinking about posting in here but kept forgetting. I was wondering if anyone thought Tara actually killed Franklin. All she did was smash in his skull. I don't think that's how you kill a vampire, so I think he'll be back. She should have decapitated him and set the house on fire. But that's just me. I really don't like that storyline. He's annoying and Tara is just......not that engaging to me.

They introduced a lot of new characters this season. I do like Alcide, he's cool. Sam's family is mildly interesting. I like Jessica and Hoyt, I wish they were still together. I think Jessica is pretty funny but they aren't doing much with her so far. I think it's pretty clear Erick is going to have his revenge. I expect more bloodshed. Jason is boring. But all and all it's been a pretty good season so far.

I have liked her in the past because I thought she was super hot, but after last night, she is going to have to win me back...she seemed like a rabbid squirrel.

Tara biting Franklin was -super- smart. V makes you stronger. She needed to be stronger to smash Franklin and rescue Sookie.

Truly an interesting season!

Poor Tara isn't too vamp savy - she could have revoked her invitation to Franklin when she tried to run from him in Sookie's house. I doubt Franklin is finished off. He's gonna be po'd when he wakes up. She's really got a dark side - wonder if that's left over from Mary Ann?

I agree - Eric smiling is soooooo much creepier than Eric with fangs. I love it! He's got this terrific "got nothing to prove" thing going on.

Love Jessica - especially when she glamoured the customers about tipping Arlene.

Sam's parents - geez. His adoptive parents said they were bad people. Guess he is finding that out now. Although I think his mom really wants to be better. Poor Tommy. He seems so sweet and I think he is crushing on Jessica. Loved that "Smokin' hot vampire" comment.

Jason - not the brightest bulb on the tree. He needs to listen less to his weenie...

Pam - oh, Pam....*sigh* love love love her and her attitude. I am glad they don't show her too much. As much as I love her, overexposure would ruin the character.

Russell - totally creepy. I hope Eric gets his revenge.

Lorena - geez...totally creepy. Talk about the ex who won't give up or go away.

The Queen - has some issues. I got my answer. Hadley isn't a vamp....at least not yet.

I hope they don't kill off the Magister - he's soooooooo creepy! I love his "don't give a rat's butt" attitude.

I love Sookie's answer when asked what she is..."I'm a waitress."

Love the weres but they can be a bit much - guess that's just the way they are.

Creepiest thing so far this season? Joe Lee hanging around the house in his underwear.....

I agree that Jason is just dumber than a rock. As we say here in the south, "Bless his heart" (translate: He is so fucked up!)

I just plow through each book and I am glad that the show is following pretty closely to the plot of the books. The creative licensing I see is done well enough to keep me watching and engaged, waiting to see what happens next.

Erik is smokin - there is something about his comfort in his power that just draws one in. Pam is smokin in the portrayal of a strong woman who submits because she is inspired to - something I can relate to. Sookie grates my last nerve sometimes because even as much as you want to hug her, I just wanna shake her and tell her that it aint all about her all the time!

I am a tad disappointed in the show's portrayal of Sophie. She wasn't quite the obnoxious bitch in the books.

I still see interesting parallels in the vamps and othering and the LGBTIQ worlds. Russell's words to Erik in the limo about (paraphrasing here) "If we vamps would stop infighting we could conquer the humans in a day" could easily read, to me, "If we queers stopped infighting, we might be surprised at how we could change the inequities we face."

in True Blood, to kill vampires, U gotta pierce the heart{Smashing brains is usually for Zombies, no?}....

Recall when Jason's V-addicted treehugging g/f killed the hostage vampire?
Also both times Bill killed a Vampire..Although this second one, I'm hazy, Im not sure if he stabbed in the heart, or in the skull...
It was too fast, cuz he tried killing Russell as well and of course, it backfired

Sophie's annoying, and for a Queen, she's really penny-pinching...
I did have questions about her title, and the fact Eric is almost as old as Russell {with the exception of the now Toasted Godric} but under her command, which answered all my questions in one swoop when he choked her....

The Magister is pretty cool, self-righteous delusional prick, but cool...
