going to see my daughter's apartment, and then to see her very first classroom...I stood there as she walked around and looked in all the closets, and watched her and remembered the little blonde haired kid I sent off to school for the first time...and now she is going to be someone's first teacher too....I choked up...one of the best moments I have had as a mom....

I smiled when I woke up. My dog, a mixed pit bull, was in a cuddly mood. When I opened my eyes, I realized Kelly was giving me sweet kisses on my face. I love this dog more than anything or anyone in the world. She is such a joy to have around, is pure entertainment (so funny) and unconditional love. I would do anything for her.

Dogs rock!

More and more in my area I'm seeing "soccer moms" with awesome bumper stickers...

Today it was a mini-van with mom and 2 kids in the back. The back window sported those little decals showing mom, dad, 2 kids, dog and a cat. Bumper stickers (left to right) read:

Proud parent of an honor roll student at (school name)

Soccer is a KICK!

My Mom seeing a jewelry design I made and asking if she could buy it from Me. I told her No, that I would gift it to her. She would not take no for an answer... while I was eating dinner, she went out to My car and left the money in My console. She even looked the piece up on My etsy shop and paid Me exactly what I was asking for it. I do believe, I love how she encourages what I do.

Prop 8 was overturned.
SAN FRANCISCO — A federal judge overturned California's gay-marriage ban Wednesday in a landmark case that could eventually force the U.S. Supreme Court to confront the question of whether same-sex couples have a constitutional right to wed.

Chief U.S. District Judge Vaughn Walker made his ruling in a lawsuit filed by two gay couples who claimed the voter-approved ban violated their civil rights.

Gay couples waving rainbow and American flags outside the courthouse cheered, hugged and kissed as word of the ruling spread.

"This is a victory for the American people. It's a victory for our justice system," said former U.S. Solicitor General Theodore Olson, who delivered the closing argument at trial for opponents of the ban.

He said the ruling "vindicates the rights of a minority of our citizens to be treated with decency and respect and equality in our system."

Molly did. She's so trusting. She was at the top of the stairs and just flopped down on her back at the edge of the top step and didn't freak at all as she started to slide down, knowing I was under her and I wouldn't let her fall (secretly, it's because she would have taken me down with her and I couldn't let that happen but if she thinks my rescuing her was purely unconditional, who am I to burst her doggie bubble?).

In the end, she got her belly rubs and I didn't get put into traction.

Win-win!
