As cheesy as the original was, I kind of liked that version better. Didn't the new version skip the part with the skeleton army??? Am I confusing cheesy movies??

Nope. They didn't do it in the latest one. The Kraken went down waaaaay too easy, in my opinion, in this one too.

True. But acquiring Medusa's head was no easy task. Seemed more difficult in the original too.
