I'm still debating who's got the Better lines
Eric or Lafayette...

Maybe I flubbed the Talbot reference for Franklin, I must watch this episode again to confirm{-smirk-}

I think Eric just wants revenge for his Fathers death, so..Yea..
Same way he fucked over his Queen {he merely tolerated her}, I think he'll gift-wrap Russell for the new Magister & Authority.
I'm sooooo Team Eric...
Been Team Eric since he scared the ever-loving-shit out of Lafayette when he ripped apart the redneck then casually asked "Do I got blood in my hair..?...Pam's gonna kill me", while Lafayette hiding, shitting bricks..
Before that, I was Team Sam...
Sookie of HBO really needs to start dating Alcide, and them Were's/Vamps...so she can get to Eric{or Eric to her-cough-}..nAo!!!!

As for Deviating from the Books, umm...Yeah :
Lafayette's still alive on HBO cuz of his popularity...
Tara seems to have a bigger Role...
Eric's Maker in the Books isn't called Godric...
Crystal ..to my knowledge..has only been Engaged to Jason..
Jessica's not even in the Books....
And yeah .. Only first-born Shifters are true Shifters.
The third Season seems to be following the 3rd Book ...barely.

And there will be a 4th Season, to Debut Summer 2011

I expected Claudeine to be prettier too. She's supposed to be a bombshell, all eyes turn, no one can resisit, men dropping at her feet. She's pretty in the tv version, but not sexy - more ethereal looking. Not sure how they'll play that out.

I wouldn't mind if they brought up Alexei, on HBO, we already saw Eric lose his "Pooky/Maker"...Might as well see him deal with his Vamp. Brother.

I like this season better than last season.

Except I miss Eggs.

Sookie needs to get Alcide to fix up her house, it's still tragic from last seasons parties.

Yeah but, in the book...Eric's maker was not the nice godric from tv. He was pretty much a pedophile. So not sure how they would tie in bringing over Alexei. The whole father/brother/son dynamic from the book doesn't exist in the same way in the show.

I do however, want the Eric shower scene from the book. I want the whole Eric losing his memory plot line and what ensues.

Maybe next season.
