Now, I'm not saying that is shady--typically that's how benefits work but it should be noted that the claim that this is 'for charity' isn't *precisely* the case.

As far as his picking a locale, well that's just Beck being provocative and trying to take on the mantle of the civil rights movement. It won't work, of course, but it doesn't *have* to work it just needs to make money and Beck will not be out any cash come 29 August (although I doubt the event will make a lot of money for the SWOF).

As to the locale, it would be far less offensive if Alveda King were not a guest speaker. Seems to me that after the passing of Coretta and Yolanda, that poor family has taken a downhill turn.
