I am going to have a Reiki session tomorrow by my BFF. Then i am going to work on finishing my walkthrough closet. Then relax and enjoy my long weekend.

I went out to the bar tonight---everyone was so young. I felt out of place... which I was, since I don't drink or dance.

I had to get out of the house and figured my friends 50th B-day party would be a good reason to go to the local watering hole.

I should have kept my butt home. lol

That's all I have to say about that. HUMMM.

I feel for ya sweepea everyone is so young at those bars, you really do feel out of place. I don't go anymore except when there is a Butch-Femme social they I go because there are people my own age!!

On to other things Good Morning, dogs got up early today and wanted to eat and go out to potty but I headed back to bed once the one dog settles down, he's hyper so he needs time to settle back down!!

I used to attend butch and femme dances here in Tallahassee but that was years ago now it's just dancing at a local place in town on special holidays which is great but I don't see many single femme's there around my age range!

Last night went to a bday party

The rest of the weekend I am dog and cat sitting.. and reading. Went to the library and got out 3 books .

No money so not going to some of the things my friends are going too. Double trouble.. cant go (asbury park nor sisterspace sigh) and so my friends are out of town so I can't go out with them either. DAMN

Oh well... I will get lots of reading in!

I'm in the same boat Ruthie. Long holiday weekend and empty pockets. Still it's great to relax,take naps, get lots of housework and the dog bathing done. I'll get my homework done days ahead for a change.

I'm in the same boat people no money either so its homework and watching movies on tv and relax!! Have Jewish holidays to contend with..going to take a hot shower and then get ready and go which is good to get out of the house!!

HI folks.. feeling lonely tonight. Hardly ever happens... but bc of money concerns i am not doing what i would prefer to be doing this weekend. Finally have the house to myself for the week, a 3 day weekend, and all my friends are busy with thier lives. Happy for them... but sad for me. Feeling my "single state" a whole lot tonight.

Just wondering if there are any local people within the "grown up" crowd here. (Wash, DC, suburban Maryland, Northern VA). If I could find a handful, I'd have a party and serve veggie chile.

Seems like most of the people here are from the South, West or even further South.

Maybe I'll have to retire to Florida to have my poker party (those sweltering summers tho).

Hope you all enjoy the long weekend. It's beautiful in DC -- "cool" days to bring summer to a close.
