Shinning blue waves
Surround me as I sleep
Floating my dreams awake

My eyes see nothing
As my mind paints its portrait
A hopeful future

Floating with hope's desire
I begin to swim onward
Brush strokes leading me

Streaks of yellow and red
Blend into my painted life
Mixing truth and fear

Fading red to pink
White changes the course in route
Splashing a new dream

Jewels of purple chance
Offer this painting a home
Protected from lies

Lies that carry hurt
Smearing on unwanted black
Changing what began

Drowning the past deep
I start again surrounded
Floating my dreams awake

I watched the grains of sand piling on high shimmering
glistening mound with one sparkling peak
quiclky I turn the hourglass sideways
time in my hands I heard it
quietly slipping
silence
now
somewhere peaks build again
turning it over and over starting again
watch ticking, sounding, beating, earth
sparkling dew dropping earth shares her tears
I can't stop the sands of time, now the heart not beating
seeing a baby I hear the laughter and joy another life now throbbing
