Visiting my mom in the Nursing Home earlier today and giving cute little scarecrows to her and roommate who is 89 years old and full of spunk and I absolutely adore her. I also brought them varieties of sugar free cookies for them to enjoy.

They were very happy and I loved seeing them smile with wide eyes open like little kids.

That totally made my day.

Just came in. I was grumpy cause after a zillion years, I had to purchase a new tea kettle. I bought a Le Creuset, but hated it. It was messy (no comments ...). Took it back and am content with Chantal stainless

But, what really got me smiling is our first rain. It is the kind of rain, those fine drops, that you don't need, or really even want, an umbrella. It's not real cold, yet sipping on cocoa is just right. Sigh.

This day has had many smiles and contented sighs
