Keep lighting candles for my sister and her stresses as an Alzheimer's care-giver for her husband. He has been declining significantly as of late. I hear the hurt in her voice when we talk on the phone. The grieving for the real person she has spent over 40 years with.
I am thankful, however, that they do have good health insurance and both had good retirement pensions. To have this to deal with and not have these resources has just got to be horrible and many, many people are in that position. So, although I am sad, I know other people have it far worse. That would hurt far more. |
