Chosen Family.
After a 14-hour work day (which is STILL going), Uncle Terri showed up at the house with so many prezzies that we felt like it was Christmas!! She had 3 lights for our library, 4 tubes of caulk, speakers for my laptop, 2 barbecue sandwiches, a crime magazine with the pictures of everyone who has recently been arrested, and a partridge in a pear treeeeeee!!! We happily scarfed down our sandwiches and have been playing with the computer speakers and watching some reruns. Sometimes sitting around on a Monday night with people you love and a big red dog is just what it takes to soothe the (overworked) soul.

Heh....my house looks like a combat zone. There is plastic draping everywhere and huge gaping holes cut in the walls in the dining room bay window and in the master bedroom on the wall opposite the master shower. I can only imagine what the roof looks like, judging from the sound of things.
