Living Gender, a student group of the University of Virginia’s LGBT Resource Center, Charlottesville, Virginia, will be holding a photo-exhibition, performance art, and round table discussion with guest speakers in observance of Transgender Day of Remembrance. —– Fairfax, Virginia will be holding a Transgender Day of Remembrance on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 7:00 pm at the Metropolitan Community Church of Northern Virginia 10383 Democracy Ln, Fairfax, VA Attendees are invited to bring with them a canned good and/or an article of clothing for donation to TransGender Health Empowerment in Washington, DC —– Norfolk, Virginia will be holding a Transgender Day of Remembrance on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 4:00 - 10:00 pm Open House and a time to reflect 7:00 pm candle light reading of names Candii House, 3309 Granby Street, Norfolk, VA 23508 - One block south of Park Place Medical - Trans Clinic. The house is in the middle of the block. Please park along 33rd and 34th Streets, in the driveway of the property (white, Victorian house) but please do NOT park along Granby Street. —– Richmond, Virginia Will be holding Transgender Day of Remembrance event Thursday 18 November at 7:00 P.M., Queer Action, the LGBTI student group at Virginia Commonwealth University holds a candlelight vigil at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, in Richmond Saturday 20 November at 1:00 P.M., a Southern Magnolia, donated by PFLAG Richmond, will be dedicated as a memorial to all those lost to anti-transgender violence, on the South lawn of the Gay Community Center of Richmond. Saturday 20 November at 7:30 P.M. a candlelight vigil will be held at the downtown campus of the University of Richmond. |

Honour. Embrace. Celebrate. Educate. Advocate. November 20, 2010 marks the sixth annual Winnipeg Transgender Day of Remembrance (WTDOR) and the 12th annual International TDOR. This day serves as an opportunity to recognize, honour, embrace, celebrate, and remember the people who encounter or endure discrimination, prejudice, persecution, isolation, or violence ...because of their [perceived] gender identity and/or expression. TDOR is also about raising awareness, educating, and advocating for the rights and recognition of individuals who identify as transgender, trans sexual, genderqueer, any variation of/from/beyond these. This free, all ages, event will be located in an accessible, drug and alcohol free venue. We will be handing out an agenda shortly, after the moment of silence there will be one song drummed. 12 Annual San Francisco TDOR
SF TEAM, a program of the LGBT Center, in collaboration with San Francisco’s transgender community and agencies, will gather on the 12th anniversary of the Transgender Day of Remembrance to remember and honor transgender victims of violence. The program begins at the San Francisco City Hall steps, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place (Polk St.), on Nov. 20, 6PM-7:30PM. A vigil march and community celebration will follow at Ark of Refuge, 1025 Howard St. (cross 6th and 7th Sts), 8PM-10PM.

There is nothing going on near me but I will be thinking of all of you and remembering in my way. I had a few whispers about there being some sort of remembrance at the university pride group nearby but they keep things very quiet no location announced. Not a good area for the glb and especially the t's.
