I admit I could use some healing good luck thoughts and vibes this week. I have an ultrasound on my left breast for abnormal mammogram. I understand this is fairly common. But my own mother died of this disease 25 yrs ago at the age of 55 so I am concerned and not sleeping very well.

She loves getting cards, so if you would like to send one to her, please PM me for her address. She loves getting funny raunchy joke kind of cards.

She finally began getting chemotherapy last Friday. After that freak surgical mishap in July, that left her on a ventilator with a trach, she is well enough to start a new fight. She is doing extremely well. Since then, she has not been home, she is now in subacute care at a nursing home.

Latest PetScan diagnosis. Not in her lung after all. Treating Stage 4 adenocarcinoma of the esophagus, treatment to go for 18 weeks of chemo. 3 on , 1 off. Radiation to start this week.

All the chemo and radiation visits are by ambulance to the Doc's. She is frightened, but doing her best.

My sister... 14 years today.

The woman I met on the bus today... dying of leukemia yet still enrolling in college to take classes in art. She wants a year. I hope she gets two!

My son... his meds are still not settled, I want so bad for him to be successful and happy.

For strength.

I haven't posted in a bit. However, I've read your posts here and my prayers continue to be with you. My rituals contain every wish, every sad expression, every joy that each of you post.

A brief update on my sister, Dolo. She continues coughing, but her breathlessness is not constant. She and her husband drove to a well known spa by a lake, Bogen Sea ? (Sea means lake ... what do I know?) Dolo tried to talk with him about returning to the states, where my oldest niece could help care for het when/if she declines further. Apparently, he became upset with the discussion, and she dropped it for the time being. I asked her why he was upset. Dolo said it was because he cannot face what is happening.

My oldest niece is going on the 21st. I'm still waiting for her other kids to let me know ... the deadlines aren't working ... lol ... so, I will gamble and try to book my own return flight, hoping that it doesn't coincide with theirs.

Dolo has agreed to go online and apply for Medicare. Doing so gives her a sense of having some choices.

Thank you all again for your prayers and sending forth the light, the Spirit. I am forever grateful to our Spirit Dancer for her wisdom and compassion in all things, and for starting this thread.
