I light a candle today for everyone who has recently lost, or is is in the process of losing, someone dear. May you know that that you are held up and cared for here.

I light a candle for all who have troubles of the heart, who may, this time of year, feel lonely, isolated, or separate from their Spirit.

I light a candle for all who are physically ill, face the terrors of the medical unknown, the waiting for news that will transform their lives. Know that however the results, you are not alone on your journey.

This is one for Dolo

I made my reservation to see her. Leaving January 11. It will be the dead of winter in Switzerland. I've borrowed a heavy coat (hoe do you pack that?), but need gloves. I have Reynaud's, a disease of the circulatory system, worsened by cold. I don't know what kind of gloves to get, have long fingers for women's, and too narrow for men's. Please PM me if you have suggestions. I'm sorry to take up space here with this. I am just so grateful to be able to go that I get stupid.

For my dearest Jess, know that I wish I were home during this most difficult time. I hope that your family can find some peace in the process of letting go and that even though you all just want more time, that its not drawn out in unnecessary suffering.

For Uncle Doug, know that as you move from the world to the next, you've been loved and I am most grateful to have had even the shortest of time with you. When I can dill pickles next summer, I'll remember your tips and tricks and wish you were here to show me just how its supposed to be done.

Thank you beloved. We are all exactly where we need to be, even when we may wish otherwise. He has always been my favorite Uncle and has been a gift to know. BTW, I know where my crazy eyebrows came from without a doubt.

I will wear my third generation ( Grandpa,Uncle Doug, Me) overalls with even more pride.
