Tonight I'd like to say a prayer for Mindy's sister and her family
Yesterday a fire broke out in the attic of the house she and her family shared. Everyone got out and the firefighters got the cats and dogs
As happy as an ending as that is, they lost all their belongings. They are now all cramped together in a very small house with Mindy and her mom.
They're hoping the Salvation Army will help with clothing so the kids can go to school in different outfit every day.

So, I'm leaving a candle along with hope and faith

I was on the phone with R tonight. After more tests today, they found her gallbladder is only functioning at 1%, but they also found an infection in her intestines,so they put her on antibiotics. Because of this, they aren't sure if the stone she has is causing the gallbladder to function like it is or the infection. She still isn't keeping food down, so they are going to keep her at the hospital.

Keep the prayers coming please
Her biopsy surgery is still scheduled for Dec 7th unless something changes between now and then

Quick lil side note, if she can find a chapter of the American Red Cross, they will give hotel vouchers, clothing vouchers, food vouchers, etc. It varies from place to place, but someone from their Disaster Response Team should be able to take care of them. It won't get them completely on their feet, but it's usually a good start...you can PM me if you would like/need any more info!

I will send a prayer up for them as well!

I light a candle today for Dolo and all who love and care about her. She was told by doc today that the goal is comfort care. Pain and other symptom management. No more chemotherapy, because it would interfere with her current quality of life. She knew what he was saying without his just coming out to say it. I could not ask the important things. To inquire how she felt about this. I was cowardly. Didn't want her to hear my voice if I asked. All I want now is for her to hang on til I get there. Please, a prayer for her comfort. For her kids. Her husband. And, for me, that I can bear it.
