getting involved in dog rescue.

today, because I was working on another dog, they asked if I wanted to help in another matter.

omg...the worst animal pound I have ever seen. (via video) Long story short...we pulled three dogs out that surely would have died overnite. One was a newfie mix who was screaming in pain for THREE DAYS and biting and tearing at her back and hips yet they did nothing. Ice was inside on the floor..feces everywhere...frozen water in all their buckets (no pails..just
horse buckets)

last week legal action was taken to remove 30 dogs out of there (yes its the county's pound!) only 10 are surviving from just the weekend.

the newfie girl is no longer screaming..she has seen the vet. I am waiting to hear what was wrong...

Miss Pink's homemade hot chocolate with cinnamon snowman marshmallows, my Mama's homemade chess squares, being silly while singing "Fruitcakes" to the dogs before I went to the post office to pick up a package of the BEST fruitcake on the planet,hanging with Miss Pink and the Pack on a lazy snow day off from school!!

...living downtown. Standing on my front porch and being able to see incredible architecture in the distance and horsedrawn carriages with people in love up and down my street.

Semi-quiet nights at home, watching my honey work and tormenting him from time to time when he can't say or do anything back, being warm and toasty, turning around to turn on the Xmas lights and seeing he already has, listening to my honey sing in his 'good' voice (the rest of the time, not so much), feeding my guy, watching and discussing The Sing Off, catching up with our Hulu que, getting more calls for interviews, knowing there's candy and ice cream just a few feet away from me, and talking about the future with my honey.

All really good things!
