Good afternoon Everyone,

I'm leaving a fresh pot of coffee on and I will try to learn how to make coffee using a French press maker.

I just bought one of those french press coffee maker and want to learn to use it, have space heater on because of the cold weather, now going to do laundry which is downstairs too cold to do anything but stay in the warm bed and hibernate for the winter...

I'm thinking of chicken Marsala for dinner tonight with fresh veggies. What do you think?

Mmmmm chicken marsala sounds good to me, but not sure how it would go over with the boys....

I'm thinking about chicken and dumplings...nice for the cold weather!

Oh yeah maybe Jake can help us because I sure could use some coffee right about now.. Chicken marsala sounds great I have soup with some veggies tonight but could go for eggplant parm though..

Yes send me the recipe to my gmail account I also want to know how to make chicken and dumplings too maybe JO could give us that one..I haVE a great cookie recipe I am going to post now in another thread making homemade things or something like that..

Yes, I would. I love chicken marsala and I don't have a good recipe.

3 Tbsp whole wheat flour
3 Tbsp white flour
1\4 tsp white pepper
1 - 1\2 lb chicken cutlets <fresh>
3 c sliced mushrooms
2 Tbsp thinly sliced shallots
1\2 c Marsala wine <located in the sauce aisle>
1\2 c low sodium chicken broth
2 Tbsp chopped parsley
1\2 tsp chopped fresh Thyme leaf

Directions:
-in a shallow bowl, combine flours and pepper
-dredge chicken in mixture and set aside
-lightly coat a lg nonstick skillet with cooking spray and heat on medium high
-add chicken and sauté until lightly crowned, 2-3 minutes per side
-remove cutlets to a plate and keep warm

-add mushrooms and shallots to pan, stir for 1-2 minutes
-add wine to pan. Reduce to a glaze, scraping any loose brown bits from bottom of pan
-reduce heat and add broth, parsley, and Thyme. Stir, cook until broth reduces by half

-return chicken to pan and simmer for 5 minutes

Serve hot.

Make it a meal:

-mash 1\2 c boiled red bliss potatoes <leave the skin on>, with 1 Tbsp fat free cream cheese, 1 Tbsp skim milk, and salt & pepper

I omitted the salt and used extra virgin olive oil and it was yummy!

Congrats on the grade I know it was hard to do!! Today was a trying day to say the least dealing with social services..tonight its hamburgers and veggies and a salad some nice warm food warm you up!! hope you all are having a good day..

I had a weird eye doctor appointment this morning, then tried to get some work done while I was sneezing and coughing.

Tonight is prime rib (cuz it's easy and was in the freezer) and baked potatoes....probably some green beans as well.

Early to bed again tonight...trying to shake this bug.

Hi you..

I am doing ok.. hanging in there.. laughs @ the world's dumbest.. I just got done watching one the Real Housewives episodes on Bravo.. how i have Oxygen on.. and they are showing some true crime show.. also trying to stay warm.. it was cold..cold today.. and we are supposed to be getting the snow that Washington DC is getting right now.. so bracing for that..

Did you hear or read that Kenneth Cole is closing down the stores that aren't doing well? He is closing all of his stores in Orlando, which stinks. I love his shoes and bags, if I want to go to a store, I have to go to Miami.
