making a new bird feeder out of an empty plastic tub of cat litter that has a handle on it.

The birds LOVE it....

for those who are baking hams & turkeys etc this year...wait until the grease is mostly cooled...pour into your container. Add bird seed. Freeze.

Using a knife, cut out a three sided opening down to the level the food is at, and fold the flap down. I duct taped my down. I creased the edge some to make support for the birds to perch on.

as they eat down the food and suet, use the flap to cut down more of the plastic so they can reach.

Serving lunch today to the staff and clients of the adult services organization in my office building. Every year my boss treats the staff and their clients to a Christmas lunch. We look forward to it as much as they do. The clients are some of the sweetest and most wonderful people. The gentleman who said the blessing this afternoon gave thanks for my boss and her little dog (they consider him their mascot). After lunch they gave my boss a card signed by everyone and a fruit basket - she struggled not to cry.

1)..this elderly couple that comes in for pizza 2-3 times a month came in...very sweet couple..been together forever..she comes in after him and hands me a gift wrapped item and said "Merry Christmas" was totally unexpected but made me smile from ear to ear.

2) later on in the afternoon these 2 older ladies(both grandmas to the little 4 y.o boy that was with them.....the older lady was looking for some "real chicken",but the little boy wanted pizza so i knelt down(yanno so we were eye to eye) and asked him his name. "Nahim" he said quietly. So i asked him if he would like to make his own pizza..his eyes lit up like a christmas tree.....fast forward to pizza being done,boxed and handed to him..he handed to his grandma and came towards me,i bent down and he gave me the biggest hug and said "thank you..this is the best gift ever" moments like today is what keeps me putting up with all the bullshit!
