My Niece has been officially moved from ICU

She will need much therapy, cognitive and physical.

This is a message from mah Big Seester on her FB:

"...recalls exactly 3 weeks ago today when they wheeled her daughter's
bed down the halls of Cedars-Sinai with hopes of prolonging her life
by machine until a new heart was gifted. Not knowing if her eyes
would ever be open on this earth again, I walked outside and
saw this statue (cried my eyes out of course)-
Today she was moved out of ICU with occupational therapy very soon!
♥♥♥"

My devotional candles & incense are still burning. My prayers are the same as always.

Also, for those who are Catholic, there is a Feast of the Presentation of the Lord. This feast which occurs exactly 40 days after Christmas marks the end of the feasts of the old Chriastmas season. This feast goes back to at least the fourth century. This is the day that we bless the candles, almost as a profession of faith in Jesus, the light of nations. It tends to be a part of the Mass the last Sunday in January.

As usual, my devotional candles and incense are burning brightly. My prayers are for those at NIH, in clinical trials, the deceased, children, the unemployed, the hopeless, animals, and those who are in need. My prayers are also for those who are working, and are able to help those in need.

I also ask you all for your prayers.

I haven't posted about Dolores/Dolo, my sister in a while. Didn't know what to say as she did not want any of her family to come and see her. I think that I was angry, which is hard to admit. I got over it once I confronted it ... she's been confused of late. Talking out of her head. I spoke to my brother in law. He says that they have reservations to travel here ... from Switzerland ... on February 11th. She is on a morphine patch plus morphine liquid for breakthrough pain. I'm not sure what he is thinking about ... she is sleeping most of the time and always tired.

My first reaction was, "wtf?", but as I sat with the idea, I started hoping again. That she'll make it That we would all see her, including her grandkids (even the one she thinks is a mess ... ). So, I light a candle today, for hope.
