waking very early to the sound of birdies chittering and tweeting softly... stretching very delightfully to come awake (one of those stretches that is sooooo satisfying) and getting a big smile from the warm little furbaby body curled up tight next to me, day dreaming about future delightful mornings after I get my move done.
Feeling secure and safe. Thinking about how good it will feel to give up this very large, high maintenance, high priced place (that has many "luxuries") for a very sweet, peaceful, gentle, beautiful, less stressful place that has less house and more open land away from the city where I can once again enjoy the little things and more peaceful moments.... But I'll miss one little thing that means a lot to me... spending quality time with my very dear friends here in PA... and just savoring a cup of coffee while I listen to them vent about their day and delight in their smiles, laughter and warm hugs. While packing, finding the very first birthday card my dad sent me...and the bitter-sweet moment when I placed it with the very last one he sent just a few months before his passing. Discarding clutter to put things behind me, but packing things that I will cherish. |
