International Women's Day (March 8)
Bond and M on International Women's Day. While we may go on about our own rights, women still face much of the challenges still today -- yes, even in 2011. I know in Canada there is an organization (Provincially and corporate funded) to help promote women: http://www.cdnwomen.org/EN/index.html What other events/organizations need our support today to help women become equal?

I usually have an NPR station on in the background and there have been several programs on covering violence against women of the world. Although, I know this, I cringe, feel both anger and sorrow and wonder if there will ever be generations of women free of this.
