and thanks Jo, i have been quiet around here lately...life's been super busy for me in so many ways, but i'm forever stalking you all and reading posts wondering how ya's are.. kinda creepy eh! heh..

the weather here has been so nice, i'm getting anxious to get out and spend some moments with nature.. i'm home sick today from work, though.. my boss encouraged me to stay home, honestly. i'm pretty sure i would have done fine working - but i think he didn't want to hear about my monthly woman problems LOL..so now it's a weekend off, today i will relax til the rest of the pain subsides but maybe tomorrow morning i'll get out and really enjoy the beauty of spring!

Sorry for being MIA. It's been a long weekend. I helped Lisa move yesterday and didn't get to sleep until 1am. My back and knees was giving me Hell yesterday and I was happy to come home.

I will be thankful to move out on Thursday...

Hello my friends

Well, it's been an eventful few days....my mother came and went. Her health is truly awful and I have some pretty grave concerns about whether she'll be around much longer (not for my sake, but for my son's), I turned 49, and Scoote blew her back out so badly that she's on bed rest and painkillers for a few weeks...another MRI and a consult with a neuro-surgeon coming up for her. Ugh.

isn't going to cut it on this...I may need too.

Big hugs to you my friend. I've done the "moving alone" thing and it is a nightmare. I wish we could come up and help you!

Make sure you take lots of breaks...and treat yourself to a nice something when you're done...you deserve it!



Coffee pot is on for all of us...and all I can say is TGIF!

My new colleagues are started, so we have a full department again....now it's just a little time to get the "new guy" trained and then maybe he can take a few things off of my plate.

The biggest challenge for me right now is trying to keep Scoote in bed where she's supposed to be. She's still trying to do wayyyyyy too much. I'm considering tying her down.

As we were leaving the doctor's office, she pointed at me and said to Scoote, "basically, she's your bitch"....(I told her I basically already was ), but it's hard to get Scoote to just stop and heal.

She may be the second most stubborn person on the planet....after me, of course.

Good Morning Jo and Zimmy!! Jo so sorry to hear about Scoote's back hope she is on the mend soon and gets well!! I took the dog to the vet this morning for his annual checkup for his cushing's syndrome that he has and get on the right dosage of medication..poor guy doesn't like being stuck in a kennel for long times. I'm still looking for a job no fun being unemployed at my age but what can you do?? I am dating a nice woman for the past month or so and she seems nice and all. Still getting to know each other stage. I am going to Queens tomorrow afternoon to stay overnight until Sunday then back to NJ.

I took a twenty minute nap after arriving at the apartment and taking a shower. It felt so good to be able to walk into a nice place and have no negativity.

Thank you so much for keeping the kitchen open Zimmy! I've had my hands full trying to keep Scoote as immobile as possible (failing miserably), training the new guy at work, and basically keeping all the wheels turning around here.

I went and enjoyed my spa day yesterday that Scoote gave me for Christmas...an hour long massage, fruit enzyme facial, and a manicure and pedicure. I feel much better! It's a really lovely place, and I was so relaxed when I left that I could have slept for the rest of the day.

Glad to hear you're moved in back in Orlando and that things are going better for you Zimmy...and sending you mojo on the job hunting.

The Spa Day sounds like fun! Matt and I used to go to the local spa and get our manicures and pedicures. It is such a relaxing time!

I am glad to be back here and having Athena, Matt's cat, around is nice. Matt and I have decided that we are going to move into a two bedroom apartment in the same complex.

Scoote is being bad...How is the weather down by you? We just had a wicked storm hit us and the rain is supposed to remain into the afternoon.

its been raining in Ohio too tho not near what other parts of the country have experiences. I actually turned on the tv to see what I could find out about the world when I saw the news about sweet and blade and the others. But since I dont have cable, not much was found. Sure hope every one is ok tho...

Good morning friends and thank goodness it's Friday! Wooooo....what a week!

Coffee is on, and setting out the sweet 'n low (welcome Softness and thank you ) as well as a nice plate of goodies. I think we all deserve them after the week we've had!



I know, for me, I can't remember when I was so bone tired....and I'm really hoping that my internal alarm shuts down long enough to let me sleep in this weekend. I need it! Work is just kicking my butt.

In other news....the nurse came to look at Scoote yesterday morning. We have to keep in mind who she works for, but are still hoping she can expedite the MRI and consultation so we can figure out what the next steps are. I know it's driving poor Scoote nuts to be laid up and not be allowed to do anything much.

Another sip of coffee, then it's off to work for me. My day barely started and I'm already behind...... *sigh*
