My dads twin sister is very ill. Shes in the hospital because her blood sugar keeps dropping almost fatally low. Each time they manage to pull it back up, but they dont understand why it continues to happen.
She has been so upset and discouraged by the whole situation that last night she tried to take her own life. Today is their birthday. My dad got this news this morning at work. When he approached someone at work to talk about things... He was told that the hospital he works for keeps a "sunshine fund" to help get people where they need to be in times of family emergency. They talked to the chaplain, who arranged for my the hospital to purchase a round trip ticket for my dad to spend a week in Nebraska with his sister. My candle is lit for my aunt, and my father, for their birthday, their connection, and their health.

A thousand candles for my Mom, Dad, sister Jeanne and brother John. I miss you all so much. And for Silly Putty, who gave me the brightest light of all. I will always miss you.
Easter was a time of love, family and closeness for me. Those times are past, yet the memories remain. One really does not know what they have until it is gone. As many candles I light for all of the members in the thread that are dealing with difficulty and have loved ones that are ill, or they have lost. I don't have a Christian celebration of Easter any longer, but I feel rebirth continually all around me in multiple forms. That- I most certainly celebrate! |

For the city of Conway, home of Medusa, and the town of Vilonia, both of which had tornadoes last night. We had a tornado very close to our neighborhood and one in Mayflower, near a waterpark we often go to. Worse, cleanup will hardly begin when here comes round 2 tonight
