The things I find disgusting are probably to someone else's taste...

canned peas
squid tentacles (body is OK...)
escargot (I can eat with my eyes closed, but stop as soon as I look)
some kind of clam with feet that are just too gross to swallow
goat's milk that's more than a few hours old
goat cheese

Sea gull. It's greasy but not so bad.
Land crabs delicious surprisingly meaty.
Turtle cooked in its own shell on a fire
Rattlesnake is good but needs a milk bath and well bled else it's sour. The same treatment works for shark.
Kimchee is the worlds best sidedish be it radish, cabbage, or cucumber.

Where did you try the Seagull?....You mean I missed something while we lived in Seattle?....Yeah, I like kimchee, but it is an acquired taste....

Here in Gulfcoast Florida. My gran taught me to catch seagull with a cast net. They were cheap plentiful and had been a depression staple for her. The CCC boys here never knew there chickens in every pot usually were seagull. She also taught me to gig frog, snare rabbit, catch land crabs, and turtles. She was awesome.

Wow.....That's pretty interesting....Seattle had alot of seagulls, but I never heard about any recipes from the natives for it....Sounds like you had a wonderful gran teaching you....
