Nope. And to me, doesn't matter. The members here are what matter most and what I concern myself more with. All the rest is interesting but more of a technological curiosity (more of a what-not-to-do or what might be interesting to add here).

I already bought a subscription because I will always give financial support to venture of this kind, but investing my heart in another doomed community just doesn't feel smart. Yanno?!?!

Perhaps it's the wrong thread to have it in, this thread was started by Mrs. Strutt. Perhaps you could start your own thread on why another site went belly up.

Some of you might remember me from butch-femme.com and butchfemmedance.com as Strutts Wife. I left both sites quite some time ago for personal reasons and have very much missed interacting with the bf community.

Gettin off to a bad start? Dooming the site? Sorry that's what your hearing form me. I am also sorry it seems I am making people feel they have to defend or protect the site. I haven't seen a flaw in it yet, really I have not a simgle critique.

I feel like I am looking for information and perhaps some thoughtful exploration from other invested witnesses.

Is this a fluff thread, because if it is (my bad) and I will digress.

I think I joined the first site around 2001 or 2.

I remember so many of the names. We are still the same people........doing the same thing.............. for the third time.

I think I will start another thread an 'Exploration' of sorts. Now if I recall correctly threads from new people about tough topics get ignored...... so let's see, what's different.

I think the reason Lady Snow said that is what I've bolded in another post of yours. We welcome folks here and we welcome hard discussions but please understand that most of us that were on one or both of those other sites are here now for a reason. We like it and/or feel more comfy here. There are a plethora of reasons for that, but yes, I'd say that conversations about what went wrong at other sites, when this one is clearly different and doing very well, may not bode well. It feels like dragging other people's dirty laundry through my clean house, to me. Others may feel differently, though.

Look around. It's getting to be a pretty big site. There's room for all of us and all kinds of discussions.

Newbie introductions are meant for that: intros. We do welcome tough discussions (see the Red Zone) and we're (Angie and Jackhammer are the owner/admins; I'm just the geek; gayla, Thinker, June are forum mods with Scorp as chat mod) definitely interested in keeping this community going. We all actively take part in it in some form or another, depending on how much life intervenes.

So I do believe that you've made a sound investment. I do think, however, like a few have suggested, that the discussion may be better served in a different area.
