I received a little bit of scary news today. I'm sure it will all be fine, but sometimes we all need a little light and this thread has been so empowering and so inspirational to so many, including myself.
If you have an extra candle and an extra flick of the bic....i would be most appreciative. The beauty of unity and positive thinking is a powerful thing in this universe. Love and light to all of ya'll.

I am lighting this candle for My friend Clinton "Billy" Lewis who was murdered earlier this month. Billy (as his friends called him) was the owner of Club Chill and was a gay activist in our community. He was a tenderhearted person who would as they say "give you the shirt off his back." As the investigation has progressed it appears he was murdered by a 20 year old man who was not a "regular" at the club. This man is being held in jail without bail on a second degree murder charge. Billy apparently was shot while he slept. They are not deeming this a hate crime because Billy knew this person. He was a true spirit to the community and would do and did anything he could when it came to gay rights. May his soul find peace now.
