okay...thanks, I found it...and clicked on the ignore button thing...I still have the threads showing...do I need to log out to make it work or?...thanks

Where are you seeing the thread? Front page? In a search?

I am seeing the thread(s) on the front page
and
I did log off, came back and still see the threads

you don't have to spend time on it...I can just close my eyes

That's the one bug we're attempting to track down. It's a conflict between the ignore thread option and what we use to create our fancy front page. If you go to New Posts, you'll likely not see the thread at all even if it does appear on the front page.

okay...thanks...I'd like it to be off the front page since that's what I look at...
but, I can do what I already do, and not read things I don't want to read, I just find that (at the moment at least) I am getting irritated at the listings which irritate me...lucky for me I am able to get over myself!

By checking the "only contacts" box in the edit options area for Visitor Messages, people not on my friend/contact list will be unable to see my visitor messages, correct?

Hi Linus- yes, this is the one.

Not sure if I understand it completely. Thinking it could help with combating stalking behavior in a "quiet" way by
blocking access to visitor messages and who we interact with.

By checking the box- would that stop someone that I don't have on my "friend/contact" list from seeing my visitor messages and who posts the

It should be to only receive messages from friends and contacts, I don't think it blocks anyone else from actually seeing them.

I don't "log in" when on the site at work, so I have noticed this.

It's not the thread but the forum the thread is in. Let me talk with Medusa and find out why we did that for that forum (I cannot for the life of me remember why)

is there a way to view who is in the chat room?...when I click on the chat room and the drop down window comes up, or down, and I click on the 'who's chatting' all I get is an error message...

Nina: I suspect you were doing it from the front page. That's a known issue (the developer never did help us with it and we're still trying to figure out why).

Next time, try from in the forum area itself (that is, click Forums and then go to the Whois in Chat drop down). Should work.
