Hey Lady, Mick...I am familiar with 17....the other places I am not...I know the wing place you mentioned Mick....in the little strip mall there? on Hwy. 17? right?? Earlier in the day is better...esp with these 99 degree predictions now. Mick, if a place is decided, you have my email addy...just shoot me time and place...and if I can, will join you. OK Clay, if we can ever get it all figured out LOL, I think that monkeys have a better chance of talking LMAO but I am hopeful we can all get it together and do a meet and greet.

Lady, yeah I am not good with the heat either.... just too damn hot in the afternoons!

Anyone else have any ideas?

Good morning Florida Folks! Happy Monday! Just thought I'd drop in and say "Hi" We are hard folks to gather together, so I thought I'd just tell you a little about myself, and maybe we can just do the "getting to know each other better" here at the planet.

The center of the state is my home, (83 miles each way to an ocean beach) about 30 miles south of Orlando. I have four grown kids and one grandchild. Two of the kids still live at home. My youngest son has taken his time, one might say, getting through High School, but is finally on track to graduate this year.

My grandson lives right next door so I pretty much get to see him every day. He is so adorable. He is 15 months old. He has the greatest personality, and he just goes nuts when Granny comes over (how can you not love that?)

I love politics, real estate, traveling, and hanging out with friends. I am not a "church" person at all, but just recently started attending a "open and affirming" UCC Church in Lakeland so I could make some new friends. It used to be an MCC church and is pretty much all queerfolk. The people are very friendly and give some great hugs. A group goes out to lunch every Sunday after the service which gives us all achance to talk. This week pretty much everyone went. So far I am really enjoying it.

In Jacksonville here too. Lived in Ft. Laudy for a bit and in Ft Myers too. LOVE SOUTH FL!! I use to think I would head back to CA in the years to come, but I am leaning more and more towards Miami.

Thanks for the welcome. South Florida has its perks and it's nice to hear that you enjoyed your stay.

Btw, I have also been to JAX and Ft. Myers. However, Calli takes the cake because it is such a beautiful looking place , but for now South Florida is my home.
