What do I enjoy?
I enjoy my friends, getting hugs from my sons, the smiles on the kids faces when I walk into my classroom in the morning. I enjoy peaceful happy people.......Oh yes and I enjoy Chocolate.........

I enjoy beautiful days driving with the top down through the Marin Headlands near the Golden Gate Bridge - with a picnic along.
I enjoy re-reading my favorite books and catching new interpretaions I have from the last reading. Life is like that... moves us through so many ways to consider things. I also enjoy a new read! I enjoy seeing new strawberries in my garden and bell peppers. Daily treks at the dog park with my pooch give me some quiet near the Bay. I always wander away from the thick of the canines and people to walk and think and just take in the birds and skip some stones. My dog's happiness while out is a source of joy. I enjoy having coffee with a friend or two and finding out how they have been doing. I enjoy it when I can talk about what is going on with me to a close friend that knows my ups and downs. You know, going beyond small talk. I enjoy politics and election time. So, I decided this election cycle to volunteer for Barbara Boxer's campaign here in CA. I love old movies and like to see them in a theater. Breakfast at Tiffany's is at a local theater for one night this week. So, I am going to go see it. Ah, Audrey!! Yikes, I'm old!! I enjoy fixing up an older Class B RV I have. Been cleaning and waxing and fixing little broken things in it. Recently repalced a battery and now working on some leaky water lines. Getting ready to do something else I enjoy- go fishing! I enjoy it when my kid and his family visit. He is coming to town this next weekend. I'll go fishing the following. Have grand daugters to see! Although, I enjoy time to myself, I'm feeling an internal shift. I believe I am at a place in which I want more than to just date. It's been quite awhile since I have felt like I am ready for something long term. Well, what do ya' know! That part of me is back! |

I going to enjoy the seafood gumbo I'm prepping for today, making the rue, cutting up veggies, for a double batch. Can't wait to sample some of that. It's great to live on the Gulf Coast and have an abundance of seafood.

So many things that I enjoy....
that first hug from a friend that you haven't seen in a long time laughter that comes from the soul when surrounded by friends telling stories that you've shared 100 times  lunch dates with my mom still calling my dad "Popsicle" after all these years that side smile my boo gives me when she's being a smart ass  our home that is truly my sanctuary from the rest of the world sippin' a margarita on an outdoor patio in the middle of the day firing up the bbq pit and cooking up a big ol' feast with friends (making sure they all bring their specialty side dishes that I request

Clean sheets fresh from the dryer Drinking wine when I cook (or anytime for that matter) Mid-week dinner dates with friends Sippin' margaritas or cold beer on a restaurant patio Kick-ass hair days BBFF time and laughing until we cry Girls date night Lunch dates with my mom Watching the sunrise & set over the lake Chillin' on the beach ~ sounds of the waves & the warm sun on my skin are my happy place |
