Good morning Florida Folks! Happy Monday! Just thought I'd drop in and say "Hi" We are hard folks to gather together, so I thought I'd just tell you a little about myself, and maybe we can just do the "getting to know each other better" here at the planet.
The center of the state is my home, (83 miles each way to an ocean beach) about 30 miles south of Orlando. I have four grown kids and one grandchild. Two of the kids still live at home. My youngest son has taken his time, one might say, getting through High School, but is finally on track to graduate this year. My grandson lives right next door so I pretty much get to see him every day. He is so adorable. He is 15 months old. He has the greatest personality, and he just goes nuts when Granny comes over (how can you not love that?) I love politics, real estate, traveling, and hanging out with friends. I am not a "church" person at all, but just recently started attending a "open and affirming" UCC Church in Lakeland so I could make some new friends. It used to be an MCC church and is pretty much all queerfolk. The people are very friendly and give some great hugs. A group goes out to lunch every Sunday after the service which gives us all achance to talk. This week pretty much everyone went. So far I am really enjoying it. Smooches, Keri |

That's too bad about the smoke fog. It messes with the fresh air that Floridians are used too. Hopefully it clears up soon. As far as Miami , Lauderdale and Boca Raton I can say that we had some rain and it is HOT and DEWY around our neck of the woods. Anyhow, have a great day and maybe try on some goggles instead of sunglasses until air clears up. |

Good Morning fellow floridians. We finally got some rain yesterday,but it only served to make things hotter. I think its the first time we had rain in weeks. We are still under severe drought regulations.
Hiya FLF...welcome to BFP. I too reside in south florida--though near the top of the south.. We are heading to the Bahamas next week(mostly on my companys dime) but i know Jo and I both are up for a meeting at some point in time. I think in August we will be heading to Jax for a family reunion so if not before then perhaps we could meet a few on that trip. i think jax is about 3 hrs or so from us so no big deal! Well im off to get ready to go see the back dr..hope everyone has a great day and stays cool |

Howdy Floridians ..... It's hotter then a witches ... out there. Scoote and Jo enjoy your vacation , take pics I wanna see... Jax in august sounds good maybe a weekend get
away. Hmmm I'm due, 3 hrs is good .. maybe longer for me tho. Maybe I can find someone this way to share my ride ... we shall see !
