Im with you on this one. I live in a 2 story 5BR alone and it was hollow so... I went out and found myself a couple 4 legged children, boxer bulldogs. I had it in my mind that they would just be so happy to see me and run to the door the moment I opened it. However, I sent them to a trainer and they will not even bark unless they see a stranger. So, still an empty house, but I have two of the most well behaved babies in the world. I'm guessing that waiting for the 6ft, brown eyed, 40 something, handsome butch to fall out of the sky and into my world is taking a bit longer than planned I will try a parrot next.

Adopting pets is the best!!!!

Ridgid is my 6 year old pitbull who I rescuded 6 years ago he was a tiny puppy in a really bad situation. They were already trying to make him mean by burning his feet on an electric stove and his ears with hot wax. Today he is still the sweetest most loving dog on the planet and I am glad to call him mine.

Montana is my 4 year old pitmix who is the paranoid schitzophrenic. For real she lives on prozac. She was adopted from the pound and even with her issues and though I say she is mine she is no way my dog she couldn't care less about me but I still care about her.

Bailey I purchased him 11 years ago and he is still just as great.

I wouldn't trade any of them and the two big ones don't come running to greet me but Bailey sure does and I am so happy to see them all.

Adoption works.
