I have an umbrella.

I do NOT have that Fix~A~Flat stuff, but that's a good idea! It's just gone on the list!

fixaflat aerosol is only for dire emergencies. Usually the tire can't be repaired after it's been used. It's the residue on the inside of the tire. So I've been told.

Yes, more so in emergencies, which is why I gave the back road scenario...I was thinking about her being in an area she didn't feel safe in, waiting for AAA or something.

It used to be true that the tire couldn't be fixed if the product was used. That is no longer the case. You just need to tell the tire guy that you used the product.

if cleaned properly it can be repaired...it's just a pain in the rear.

I decided against the F~A~F stuff. It can't get hot and I'm going to be in the hottest part of the country. It would be just MY luck that it would explode.

Do not leave that can of fix a flat in your van in extreme heat
Oh and don't forget to bring an extra gallon of anti freeze along with the water

Perhaps a list posted would put some of us at rest before you travel
