I am a huge fan of wraps. Wraps for any meal or snack. I love the Ole-Extreme Wellness High Fiber Wraps.
![]() These can be a little more pricey than a lot of tortilla brands, but worth every penny in my opinion. They don't get hard or mushy. There's no after taste. Whether I am having breakfast on the go, a banana and peanut butter snack, or turkey Caesar, this wrap can get the job done. EEK! Seeing that photo above reminded me that I bought a package of whole wheat tortillas last week and completely forgot about them!
I still have some chicken that I grilled the other night so I think tomorrows lunch will be grilled chicken, lettuce, purple onion, cucumber, fat free cheese, and that friggin' AWESOME tomato basil vinaigrette on one of those whole wheat tortillas!

Soooo, today I think I had a small victory as well. T has been working really hard at work, and I show people I care through food. Working on that as well lol Anyhow, I seasoned some ground beef and we made burgers. However, I eliminated the buns and had small side of potatoes to come to a 500 calorie total for dinner, WHICH, gave me a grand total of 1000 calories today including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and 2 snacks!
I can relate to Medusa's pizza post. I usually say "screw it" if I am going to cheat I am going to go nuts with it. But tonite, I eliminated the things that I knew would put me over my daily allowance of calories. Even though it wasnt the greatest choice for dinner, I was able to enjoy a meal with T knowing that I made some "healthier" choices. Tomorrow a new day! Wish me luck! We leave for South Dakota tomorrow night and I am dreading "vacation food"...I can do this..I can do this!!!!! |

Ohhhhhhh hell.
So Jack has a serious snack addiction and loves to munch on snacks after dinner pretty much until we go to bed. This often has her rooting through the kitchen for cookies, chips, nuts, etc. Tonight, she got out the trusty yellow popcorn bowl and was in the kitchen popping some popcorn. Imagine my surprise when she sad a small bowl down at the dining room table for me and said, "I'm about to dump a ton of butter on mine and wanted you to have the low-calorie scoop before I ruin the rest of the bag". Im like "LOW CALORIE? It CANT be if it's KETTLE CORN!" "Read the bag", she says. Sure enough, I checked the nutritional panel and this popcorn (Act II Buttery Kettle Corn) only has 30 CALORIES per popped cup and it tastes amazing. I had it in my head that it must be terrible since it's kettle corn but they apparently used sucralose as the sweetener! GREAT snack!

Crystal Light Sugar-Free Drink Mix + Fat-Free Plain Greek Yogurt
PER SERVING (half an On-The-Go packet + 6 oz. yogurt): 105 calories, 0g fat, 80mg sodium, 7g carbs, 0g fiber, 6g sugars, 18g protein -- PointsPlus® value 2* OMG. Why didn't we think of this sooner?! Just mix a serving of the powdered drink mix (about 1/2 tsp.) into a 6-oz. cup of the yogurt (Fage ROCKS!), and mix, mix, mix. (Then mix some more.) Once the color is uniform, spoon away!

Loving all this good information
![]() And amen to the portion thing...I'm one that normally would say "I can't have *insert favorite food here*" and then get depressed, and then eat tons of that same food, beat myself up and (you know the rest of the cycle). It makes such a difference when I say, yes...I can have that food and simply watch the amount. Scoote and I went to the movies the other night. Instead of eating the movie popcorn loaded in butter and a diet coke (both not great choices), I smuggled in (yes, I admit it ) a Sobe Life Water and a sandwich size zip lock bag of Smart Food cheese popcorn. At that size, it was only about 130 calories. Not only did I get to enjoy a little snack at the movie, but I didn't feel guilty (or sick to my stomach) when we left.
