Gratitude

I am so very grateful to The Universe for allowing me to finally find one of my dear friends and fellow Woman Marines from my years in the Marine Corps. This wonderful friend of mine yanked me back from the brink of becoming an alcoholic, so many years ago. She reached out to me when I was young, afraid, away from home for the first time, and confused about coming out as a lesbian. Finding her, after 30 years, is indeed a gift from the heavens.

what an absolutely wonderful thread.

Today I'm grateful for:

...the most gorgeous, talented, sexy, funny, odd, weird, kind, generous, patient, cheeky, vexatious girl in my life.

...good friends who make an effort to maintain said friendships

...an ace Pops who's my hero.

...for my grey furry purry lap-warmer

...for living in a town and not in the middle of nowhere

~I am grateful for my home.

~I am grateful for the woods in back of my home, which provides me worlds of entertainment with the birds.....the squirrels....the raccoons and the deer (even though all of the above drive poor Lucy absolutely mad!)

~I am grateful for ShariBerry, my BFF, and her wonderful daughter.

~I am grateful for reconnections.

~I am grateful for staying connected.

~I am grateful for the joy that stringing words together ~ either in story-form or in prose ~ gives me.

~I am grateful for the ability to smile over absolutely no reason except the gift of waking up to greet another day!

Today I am grateful for the warm smells of food cooking, spending time with my honey, nesting, playing games with the kids, and spending time together.
Puppy love is good too!!

I am thankful for Moose, who always makes a girl feel wanted (as well as makes a great foot rest)

Thankful my lil one is finally taking a shower without a fight.

Thankful for my sweetheart, who always tells me my cooking is fabulous

thankful for my snarky cat, who always gives me an outlet for my own snarkness.

Thankful for my friends that I have known for years through BF sites, and for the new ones I make every day.
