hmmm. when I double-click on the home button when not in sleep mode it shows the last 4 apps I used, not apps that are running. When in sleep mode it double-clicking on the home button gives me access to ipod controls. I have an iphone 3.

Apple says that in iOS4 if you double-click the home button it lets you multitask.

Sometimes you just have to fiddle around with it to figure all the tips and tricks...it takes a while.

I was doing what you said you did and screen came up saying Voice commands... oye!

That happens if you are in sleep mode and you hold down the home button. I did it earlier on accident.
