OMG....I havent herd the words beer in a wash tub in so long..brought back so many fond memories.Fried maters,corn bread and greens with fried chicken..dont forget double stack chokalate devils food cake.I got the boots,the 501's& big old hat to go with it...

I will have to remind Jess that the morning after attire is NOT Hys bathrobe, cowboy boots and cowboy hat...

I still dont think that the lil ole methodists attending church that morning were quite prepared for that hunk o'burnin love meandering in the yard...

Fried Chicken......will it be crispy? I like mine with some crunch. I like to cook, but I also like when someone else cooks for me. I never mind helping in the kitchen.

Now lets get the music cranked up for a line dance or three. I only know one, so I'm up for learning if someone wants to teach me.

ohhh you gotta check out that link I have here on perfect fried chicken. Southern Fried Chicken is an art. When you soak it in buttermilk you're adding flavor and fat. Its all about the fat. lol
Then you want to oil just right or you'll have brown outside, raw inside. The link will tell you a lot. Give it roll.

But we'll be happy to provide the fried foods if ya'll bring the fixin's.

Potato Salad, my number one favorite comfort food. The recipe my mother makes below, but I like to put dill AND sweet relish in mine. If you want to get really decadent, sprinkle bacon bits on top!

Ingredients

* 5 potatoes
* 3 eggs
* 1 cup chopped celery
* 1/2 cup chopped onion
* 1/2 cup sweet pickle relish
* 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
* 1/4 teaspoon celery salt
* 1 tablespoon prepared mustard
* ground black pepper to taste
* 1/4 cup mayonnaise

Directions

1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes and cook until tender but still firm, about 15 minutes. Drain, cool, peel and chop.
2. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring water to a boil; cover, remove from heat, and let eggs stand in hot water for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from hot water, cool, peel and chop.
3. In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, eggs, celery, onion, relish, garlic salt, celery salt, mustard, pepper and mayonnaise. Mix together well and refrigerate until chilled.
