We vacationed in Texas last month and I (deliberately) ate what I wanted there since I don't get all that good southern food very often, and I've been less dedicated since then, so we're working on getting our groove back - I didn't just go hog wild, still been doing smoothies for breakfast and trying to do light lunch - but my dinner portions have been too large and I'm not as careful what I eat. All that said however, I only put back on 2#. I'm still at 268 from a starting weight of 298.

While I was at the reunion this past weekend, I ate mostly healthy food. I admit to having some desserts after eating dinner.
Me and a friend, walked down to the River Market district and another store in Little Rock and it felt great! Me and two other friends walked around at night and had a blast! I havent weighed myself in awhile, but I know that I am not gaining any weight, which is a good thing! I had someone at the reunion tell me that my butt looked good in my skinny jeans and I blushed... Tomorrow, I have to go back to work and I will be climbing the stairs to my office instead of taking the elevator... Have a great night! Zimmy

Today I droped my gym membership,I hadnt been going enough to make it worth the money to keep paying.Being I have my own gym equipment at home I have use it to keep working out,plus ive been walking a fair amount u can bet walking outside is better than the tredmill.I weighed in at 249 so im happy with that for now,I went to a friends bday party last week and yes I had a small slice of ice cream cake...I took forever to eat it so it would last longer...I really miss my ice cream.Last week I was in a blue funk cause I wasnt able to go to LR tho I did eat a fue things I dont normaly eat it all worked out with my carbs still staying pretty much the useal count.There is a new gym that opened about half mile from hear so if the winter gets to bad that I need to rejoin one I can go there for $29.00 amonth( sr.citizens discount)the only thing its dosent have is the steam room,hot tub and pool I had at my other place.Any how im still pluging along doing mostly what I need to do.My hardest time is comeing up with the holidays not long away,the holidays are always a tough time.

Hey all~
I'm checking in to the weight loss thread. I've been working half assed since the beginning of the year, but started getting serious about it in July. I've lost 40 total, with the majority of that being since July. I am doing Weight Watchers along with Amazing Grass smoothies and exercise. Basically I'm trying to just make better choices and change my life. I don't really have goal dates in mind, I want to lose slowly. As long as I am always going down then I'm happy, even it is only a 1/4 of a pound a week.

Well good morning all my healthy peeps!
I'm back from the Reunion, and FINALLY at a point where I feel rested. I'm not gonna lie.... I completely overdid it this weekend. Ate a bunch of crap, drank too much, didn't exercise a bit (unless you count dancing my butt off) and I know damn well I didn't get enough water consumption. I haven't stepped on the scale as of today... I will wait until Thursday which is my normal day to weigh. Yesterday I started trying my best to get back in the swing of things. I was so deligent for the first 4 months on WW online (losing 28 pounds)... and know that once I get back into my routine of journaling I will do so much better. Sometimes it's tough to find that motivation to get it going again... and luckily for me, I have y'all! It's just like riding a bike ~ now it's time for me to get my ass back on it ![]() I'm glad to see so many folks accomplishing goals and making some good headway on their journeys. Keep up the great work y'all. **ps, with the holidays coming up, maybe we can start posting some healthy receipes for the traditional comfort food that is oh so bad for us. So, if y'all have any ideas, let's start sharing* |

Dancing does count as an exercise and it was a lot of fun...Maybe for the next reunion, we can have a daily walk scheduled around the River Market district..

I don't know how good I'm gonna be at this part though. I'm stubborn. There are some things that make Thanksgiving feel like Thanksgiving......and Christmas feel like Christmas (no offense to those who celebrate other holidays).....for me. I think moderation is going to be critical for me in all of this. I will try. And I will be open to trying some of what is posted here.
