Default Suport and ideas please.

As some of u may have read my pug went into cluster epileptic sesures wensday,I ended up keeping her at the vets till this after noon as she had gone 24 hours with out an sesure. So now begains the time its going to take to help her heal the rest of he way.I do hope I have the grit to deal with this, when I went to see her at the vets today she hadnt eaten much but when I got there she ate a good bit of food plus drank some water.SHe may have had astroke with all that she went thrue, she has probs with her right back leg but dose getup and walk around, dose eat and drink.Since she has been home she has been up a lot walking at will ,we went out in the yard where she was very active.Floks im scared shitless, right now im dead tired I aslo forgot to eat so my sugar went a bit wacky till I ate a pnb sandwich, for the moment all is holding. If there is any advice out there please let me know,im trying not to stress but I think its gonna happen sooner or later preferably not at all.

Hi, Rockin'. I am so sorry this happened to your Pug. I'm sorry I don't have any advice beyond just asking your Vet what they reccomend if it happens again. Did they send you home with any medication or give you any information?

Hang in there. I would be stressed out too.

Yes,the vet sent her home with antisesure meds to take twice a day,The vet and I spoke at length about her ablity to recover he said as long as she eats, drinks and stays active she should contenue to get better, now much better I have no idea. What worries me is her sight cause I know she can see but how well I dont know, her hearing is still good.Im just takeing it one day at the time plus takeing care of my own health issues stress dosent help.

All you can do is hope, pray (if you pray), take care of her and take care of you. Take her on daily walks for activity. Hopefully, as each day passes and she does ok you will be able to relax and worry less.

Hi Dapper, yeah she was pretty active when she got home, then she pooped out and is now sleeping. After I had supper I scooped up three full table spoons of ground beef pedigree dog food for her ,some she ate on her own some she ate cause I put it in her mouth and said ..swallow,then I got 15cc's of water down her buy gently squirting some in her mouth then she licked the rest up.Not eating isnt an option at the moment, tomorrow im going to se if any liquid vitimins will help.

Default Bassett Hounds!

OMG! I just finished four days of bunny chasing with the Bassett Hound club. Happy, tired, no ribbons, but happy! My little girl was so pre-occupied with other things, but the most importantly she had so much fun. Don't worry, we only follow the scent of the rabbits because Bassett's are scent hounds not sight hounds. Would want to ruffle anyone's feathers.

Can't wait till the next field trails!
