OMG!!!! I can remember playing that record over and over again when I was a child and teenager...it was one of my "theme songs'..some of the others being.,.Bread "all by myself" and ABBA "the winner takes it all"...I think "17" probably subconsciously inspired that poem....I can remember playing it trying to make myself numb from the pain and loneliness I felt...even as a child...
