I just wanted to thank you for posting this, because both myths came to my mind. I have been there (physically abused by a Femme) and am a transman and a mother. And now back to the myths...

I would imagine the only statement than can be made concerning all butches or all femmes is that all butches identify as butch and all femmes identify as femme. And that can be said about any gender identity.
