Myth- All genders-- If you are dressed a provocative way or out of what is considered societal "norms" than you are "asking for it."

My cousin P is about a mucha femmes as u can get,BUT,in her wid and wolly younger days she drove dirt track race cars,I guatrentee she can strip a motor down and rebuild it faster than most men...without breaking a nail.

myth: as a femme, I need to wait for a butch to ask me out and I am not supposed to do the asking

myth: my butch date pays for dinner/movie etc

myth: most butches need to be hit along side of the head with a 2X4 to be aware of their surroundings

myth: as a femme, I am looking for someone to take care of me

Myth- Guys don't have feelings.

Of course I have feelings. I'm not a rock. I kinda hate how when I deal with a situation with logic people assume I don't or are trying to hide my feelings. The fact of the matter is I would rather fix the situation then deal with how I am feeling. It's not because I am male that I feel this way its just because I am me.

I also don't like to be too emotional publicly. It is just not something I feel comfortable with, I don't like being read by people I am not close with. I am ok with how I feel but no so ok about how others may judge. If I know a person really well I will share but if I don't I maintain a poker face. Again, it has nothing to do with masculinity or being male. It just has to do with my level of comfort.
