It won't affect climate or seasons since it did not change the Earth's orientation on its plane of orbit around the Sun. (The reason we have seasons is that Earth does not orbit the Sun at a 90-degree angle relative to its plane of orbit. Instead we're tilted about 23-degrees toward the sun with a slight wobble so that sometimes it's closer to 22 and sometimes closer to 24 degrees). The only real-world application I can think would be *at all* affected by this are GPS systems since they take into account the rotation of the Earth. But even that won't matter for the GPS you and I use in our cars since they move so slow relative to what can be done in a millionth of a second. Cheers Aj

They found that The People tended not to be grateful or appreciative or forward-thinking or obedient. The People tended to be small-minded and conservative and not very clever and were even distrustful of cleverness. And so, the children of the revolution were faced with the age-old problem: it wasn’t that you had the wrong kind of government, which was obvious, but that you had the wrong kind of people. As soon as you saw people as things to be measured, they didn’t measure up." (Terry Pratchett) |
