UGH, it is at the same time as the BFP ReUnion! I want to go to little Rock, but, have wanted to attend a femme conference as an ally (and volunteer) for a long time. Oh well, I may not have the $ to go to Little Rock and this is way close by!!

ALH..Yes u are definatly right on the money,most of whats hear is college kids.Near every college has a gsa,we have a pflag that meets once a month but dosent do anything but have a coffee and donut meeting,there is something called pace, but its geared up for the high end folks and to get in u pay a pricy membership fee,plus anything they do in activities cost from 50 to a 100 bucks to go to but even they arent too active.
I was planing on going to visit a fue places to find a more queer place to live,but as long as my back is like it is that wont happen,tho I do keep hopeing for the best to happen.Now if I took out the bf and stone butch equasion and became a guarden variaty lesbian ..would it make a diffrents..I just done know.I just know I cant chang who I am to please other people.

Something weird with me though, is that I keep thinking of moving because of having a hell of a time with arthritis and living where I do (dampness). But, I have to say that when I read posts like yours and by others that just live in areas that are really very constraining (in age as well as queer populations, etc.), I think think again. Also, my friends would be hard to leave.

I also give just getting older a lot of thought in terms of ever being stuck in some straight old age home! My son has heard a lot about this! Poor guy...

reading all this talk about moving to a better queer oriented place..... well...
i do know...... Dallas TX believe it or not has a awsome queer community, and the area where all the action is......... lol i like to call it gay town. one thing i miss about there. is gay bingo.. lol they have it once a month around the weekend of the 19th. now thats a fun event.
Its worth checking out....
wonder if you can google best queer places to live??? hmmm might try it.
im home for a change........ wooHOoo.....
have to go to the DMV ..... and tax place....
enjoyed a nice lil stroll thru the super market with my daughter last night.. who was just yacking my head off .. LOL ..
it was nice..... and since im the only truck here from my company , i know i wont be here long once i go bk into service. *sigh*

Good Afternoon Lofters

I hope everyone is having a great day with laughter and smiles aplenty.

Apropos my last posts, I am pleased to report that my anxiety about the cortisone shots in my shoulder were unfounded

...it only caused mild discomfort for a very short time and I had a very jolly visit with the delightful lady doctor. I'm not in unusual pain today and have high hopes for some pain-free months - watch this space. There was bad news about my neck but I guess one can't have it all

It's a gorgeous day and I'm about to tootle off out to get the tailor to fix up my newest suit so that it fits like a glove.

Morning star..Dinner sounds great to me,i'm haveing chickin and dumplins with home made bread...to sop it up with.yeah I know,reall countyfried...but thats me 100%.

Incubus..glad the shot was easy on ya,I have herd both good and bad about how much it hurt to get them.

ALH...Being Dallas is only three hours a way from me I am going to tale a weekend a month or every other month and go for a long weekend.Who knows what will happen or not..with the new air service I can go to Austin as well.It's not like moveing but will be ok.

Today I joined a health club,it's got all kinds of really neet new equipment.I was looking at all the exersise equipment I have and boy do I ever need an up grade cause the stuff is geting old and well used.With my senior didcount I got full use of everything for $35.00 a month..it's compareable to golds gym.
