Hello everybody!

I'm still losing weight. Went to the reunion, ate things I don't normally eat and lots of cake lol but I jumped on the scale this morning and still dropping. A friend of Z's gave her some shake mix to try and I'm the one that's been using it. It is visalus. I like the product and been making shakes with it for about 2 weeks, but not so sure I like the idea and buying into the product and marketing concept. I will use up all the mix I have and make a decison on it. For now, I'm using one shake for one of my meals either breakfast or lunch. Other than that I'm kinda watching what I eat but havent' really changed anything with what I eat, portions, or exercise. I want to finish this mix and research some other mixes with similar ingredients to see what works for me. I also grabbed some Slim fast bars for a quick snack or a breakfast and I enjoy those too. One is peanut butter and tastes like a butterfinger and the other is double fudge. It's good for if you're having a candy or chocolate bar craving as it's less calories and sugar.

Ingredients in a Visalus Mix

proteins processed to remove fat, lactose, carbohydrates and isoflavones to provide pure, concentrated protein. When mixed with milk or soy milk, it provides 20-22 grams of protein, the right mix to burn fat and build lean muscle, low sodium, contains a serving of whole milk, for bone healthy calcium, contains a full serving of fruit or vegetable fiber, without gas, contains digestive aids and enzymes, including prebiotic activity for maximum nutrition absorption. It is 90 calories with 10 fat calories. 75 mg of sodium. 125 mg of potassium. 7 g of carb. 5 g of dietary fiber. -1 g of sugar. 12 g protein. soy, whey protein. fibersol. aminogen. 23 other ingredients and vitamins and minerals.

With this shake mix I really enjoy frozen strawberries. I add about 5. the shake mix and 8 oz of nonfat milk and enjoy a smoothie, my fav flavor.

I've also tried frozen peaches and a banana with chocolate soy milk and ice cubes for variety.

Here are more recipes for smoothies whether you use Visalus or another shake mix or just want some ideas for a smoothie, etc.. http://join-body-by-vi.com/2011/04/1...shake-recipes/

Default Eggs!!?

Good morning beautiful healthies!

So I read something about eggs. That raw vs cooked makes no difference in the protein your body is getting. Raw egg will contain salmonella though so it's better to cook it, although not so sure people actually get sick on a raw one. A large egg contains about 6 grams of protein. So it's good for you!

So do you like eggs, and how do you like them?

I made two this morning over easy but could only stomach one with my pork green chili. lol. just didn't want anymore!

I like mine over easy, scrambled sometimes if not runny or with veggies. I like to make like a scrambled patty for a breakfast sandwich and omelettes.

So, I've been thinking i want to start a page about nutrition, health, tips, recipes, motivation, support. If you are interested in joining that when I get it going send me a pm here and I'll get you into that.

Happy Friday and have a great weekend everybody!

I love eggs! Very versatile and a good budget stretcher too.

I like them scrambled with salsa or veggies mixed in.
I like them boiled and sliced up into a salad for a little extra protein.
I like omelets as a quick and easy dinner, you can put pretty much anything in there.
I like them baked en mass with spices, veggies, and a little bit of cheese. This freezes well.
I like green eggs and ham! *okay, that might be another thread*

Something I like to do to get the flavor and texture I want and save a lot of calories is to just eliminate every other yolk. Reduces the saturated fat by 1/2 too.

Now I'm hungry.

I love having my eggs scrambled w/ ketchup on it - pair that with toast & hashbrowns, and i'm a happy camper

If I wasn't eating hot dogs right now, I'd totally be wanting eggs right about now

It depends on my mood.

I like scrambled eggs, damp. Not runny or too wet but not dry either. Damp.

I like omelets with veggies, especially onions, mushrooms and bell peppers.

I like them hard boiled too, as a snack or salad addition.

Eggs are good.....
I like eggs scrambled, omelets, fried or hard boiled...
And sometimes (like right now) I could go for a good poached egg

I am not so fond of just egg whites for omelets or scrambles...I like the yolk. When I fry my eggs I like the yolk runny to dip the toast in...

Back on a pretty strict 1200 calorie diet since returning from Reunion....still have a ways to go before hitting goals....but I keep on truckin' cuz I need to......

I'm really super strange...I like to crack eggs into a frying pan with butter(I do not eat low fat), stir them (not scramble), let them cook through, then mix them with miracle whip, a tiny bit of brown mustard, bacon or sausage crumbles, and salt & pepper. Then I chill the fried egg salad to eat later. To me, this is yum.

I just know that when Gaige reads this she is going to cringe....

Jo, great job getting back to business...I am taking the rest of the weekend off...Then it is on!
