Emerald

Emerald is known as a stone of the heart. As such, it is less often linked to important outstanding personalities as it is related to universal love and mercy. Emerald stone is a gemstone of the Chinese goddess Quan Yin, representing universal love and inner beauty which is not tangible. This is a very powerful crystal, symbol of wisdom, and abundance.

Emerald is known as the "stone of successful love". It promotes partnerships and domestic bliss. When placed in ones environment it can help to assist in calming the emotions. It promotes unity, successful relationships and friendships. Emerald keeps balance in any partnership and if it changes color it is said to signal unfaithfulness.

Emerald is wonderful at opening the Heart Chakra and will also stimulate a slow moving chakra. Since it is a stone of regeneration and regrowth it can help to assist ridding yourself of negativity in your life. It is said to also bring prosperity into ones life but one should not wear it constantly because it can trigger negative emotions.

The Emerald is one of the most feminine representatives of the mineral kingdom: the Shakti, the divine mother, and the goddess. Thus the Emerald is able to teach us what it means to be a powerful woman, how to come into ourselves in all our roles and challenges as women: mother, passionate tantric lover, caring wife, and creative, successful, and fulfilled professional.

Ancient mythology teaches us that the Emerald was associated with the Mercury, who was known to be the messengers of the gods, and of travel. It thus makes perfect sense that the Emerald is commonly referred to as the Travelers Protection Stone.

A lesser known "odd" fact of the Emerald is that when subjected to heat, it will actually sweat or expel water. Ancient writings speak of this extraordinary phenomenon.

Focusing intention and raising consciousness, Emerald brings in positive actions, eliminating negativity and enhancing the ability to enjoy life to the fullest.

For 20 years now I have daily worn rocks in my socks. Ok, now I have shared a secret not many know about me.

Most have found it peculiar, I find it soothing, except the occasional stone falling down into my shoe and under my foot and then the hoping and walking on one foot begins. I highly recommend it.

Today's stone is Pearl.

These Moon and Water ruled "gems" enhance sincerely, truth and loyalty. They bring centering and a calming reflection, as well as attune the wearer to the ebb and flow of life. They are told to give purity, promote faith, charity and integrity, especially personal integrity. Due to its watery and lunar elements, it is quite balancing for the emotions, especially to water signs.

Pearl signifies faith, charity and innocence. It enhances personal integrity and helps to provide a focus to ones attention. Pearl symbolizes purity and is known as a “stone of sincerity”. It brings truth to situations and loyalty to a “cause”. Inhibits boisterous behavior.

Pearls help one connect with the Goddess, the ultimate feminine energy. They are absorbing by nature and because of this they must be used with caution. If feeling excessively negative while wearing a pearl, it will hold that energy until it is worn again.

Being that a pearl is created by layer upon layer of substance produced to counteract irritation...it is very nurturing. If used properly, it can lessen stress and it's resulting maladies, such as hypertension, headaches, and exhaustion.

If using pearls with other gemstones consider diamonds to amplify and purify, or emeralds to bring the negative energy out and disperse it. Cleanse often to allow to recharge.

Today's stone is Angelite.

Angelite is an excellent balancer, polarizing and aligning the physical body with the ethereal network. Used to call your Angels for guidance and support, as well as a psychic connection to oneness with universe, and angelic realm. Angelite is know to assist in astral travel, as well as heightened sensory awareness. Helping one to see paths available to them to surmount challenges.

Each of the blue and blue-green stones is associated with particular forms of communication. Turquoise helps one to enroll people in partnership for the achievement of goals and dreams. Aquamarine helps us to express our deepest spiritual truths.

Angelite is believed to be helpful in telepathic communication. If two people wished to be connected in that way while they were physically apart, they could each carry pieces of angelite. (This connection would be even deeper if the stones were programmed for that purpose.)

Today's stone is Elestial Quartz.

Today's stone is North Carolina's own Hiddenite.

In nurturing shades of green, from pale and soft to sunny emerald, Hiddenite encourages growth. It is a Crystal of Evolution, helping individuals to grow spiritually, emotionally, and to be aware of their collective responsibility for the care of the Earth. It supports new beginnings and focusing on the present, relinquishing injustices of the past or anxieties for the future.

Hiddenite is the yellow-green to green variety of the silicate, Spodumene, and is named for William Earl Hidden who discovered it in 1879 in Alexander County, North Carolina, USA. The town there was later renamed Hiddenite, for the mineral, and its mines are still active today. Hiddenite, also referred to as Green Kunzite or Lithia Emerald, has a glassy transparency, and forms in prismatic crystals in pegmatite veins. It is highly pleochroic, shifting in color from near colorless to pale green or yellow-green to emerald green. Though its perfect cleavage makes cutting difficult, it can be faceted into beautiful gems.

Carrying Hiddenite awakens and attracts true love in the earthly sense as well as spiritual twin soul love. It provides a constant pulse of loving heart energy, and is a great gift to oneself and partner if love has gone stale in a relationship to help dissolve blockages in both hearts.
