<<~~ I'm making Bread (Cinnamon Rolls), and soup:
I'm making a Broccoli, Kale, Leek, Cheddar cheese soup today. I start with sauteeing leeks in butter, until their carmelized a bit; then I add freshly chopped kale and small buds of broccoli and about a quart or two of spring water and let it come to a gentle rolling boil. Then I make a roux of cream, rice flour and pinch or two or sea salt and cracked pepper (I shake it up in a glass jar, until it's creamy smooth), and add it to the water based vegetable broth. After I do that, I turn the heat down to a simmering level of heat and let the soup meld for about an hour or so. When I get ready to serve it, I sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of each serving. (That's what my son and I are having for lunch today). For supper: The Cinnamon Rolls should be done by then. (Supper of Champions! - because we skipped breakfast today) Right now, I'm getting ready to make a second cup of coffee. (cream, honey + cinnamon + Hawaiian blend/roast) *Happy Sunday*
